From the Dunvegan War of 1812 Planning Committee:
On September 20-22, 2024, the Glengarry Pioneer Museum will be hosting a War of 1812 Weekend. A full schedule will be available shortly and we are planning to stage a battle on both Saturday and Sunday. The museum will be open to the public that weekend and is offering up its grounds for reenactors to camp, train, demonstrate or just enjoy the space and the opportunity to reunite. Impromptu displays and demonstrations are encouraged to take place while following safety guidelines.
All participants must adhere to the rules: be period appropriate. Please wear clothing that was worn during the 1812-1814 period in Upper Canada. No modern camping is permitted on site. All current health guidelines will be followed.
