Weddings / Picnics / Events
The Glengarry Pioneer Museum is located in the quaint village of Dunvegan, just 10 minutes off the hwy. 417. The grounds and buildings can provide an ideal setting for weddings, family reunions or other events. The site includes a large, rustic picnic shelter with access to public washrooms, electricity and running water. The museum is largely an ‘open-air’ museum, with several log and timber frame buildings, large open green spaces and beautiful country view. Past events have used this space to spread out, play lawn games, bring in bbq’s, or even have a fire pit (with permit). Many people have used the grounds for family reunions, wedding ceremonies, receptions, or just photographs.
