HISTORY comes ALIVE as Living History Re-enactors from across Ontario, Quebec and the Northern United States converge in the quiet rural hamlet. SEE, HEAR and FEEL the thundering power of CANNON, MUSKET FIRE and CAVALRY CHARGES. It will be an INVASION you will Never Forget.

EXPERIENCE 19th century Military and Civilian LIFE. VISIT the UNIQUE Artisans, tradespeople and the shops along Sutler’s Row. HEAR the stories of what LIFE was like of an Aristocrat of the Canadas during the War of 1812. WATCH Live DEMONSTRATIONS of Surgery, Ropemaking, Candlemaking and Sword drills.  EXPLORE the Military and Civilian Camps throughout the museum. Let your CHILDREN don uniforms and take part in muster rolls. WATCH the DAILY mock Battle between the invading United States Forces and CHEER on the CANADIANS as they DEFEND the Village.

WITNESS HISTORY Unfold before your eyes! of Dunvegan, where History 200 years in the making, comes to Life. Living History Re-enactors from across the province and the United States are pleased to once again return with their muskets, cannons and campfires to recreate the 1812-1814 conflict on the museum grounds. Check out the Fashion Show, take in an 1812 inspired church service, and tour the encampments of the British, Americans, Civilians, and Native Allies, all leading up to a pinnacle Battle that will be staged live daily.
