Duration: Full day program
THIS SEPTEMBER, come and join us for an exciting full-day, multi-school event that gives students a chance to explore the War of 1812 through a series of real life scenarios and demonstrations. Fall in line with garrisoned British troops and get a hands-on account on what it takes to be a soldier with the King’s Army. Watch a 19th century cannon crew fire the gun. Experience what it was like to be in the Cavalry. Feel what it is like to wear a uniform. Through active participation in several stations throughout the museum, students will make a personal connection with the War of 1812 and leave with an understanding of how it affected daily life in Upper Canada.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK EARLY: Space is limited and this opportunity is on a first come basis.
