    Museum Donations

    Financial Donations

As a not-for-profit, charitable organization, financial donations to the GPM are fully tax-deductible, and may be directed toward specific or general categories or projects. Donations can go towards the purchase of required equipment, general museum maintenance, collections care and management, or exhibit improvements. The GPM also encourages program, or event sponsorship.

We also accept donations of Shares.

    Bequests

Bequests to the museum through your Last Will & Testament, is a way to ensure that this community museum will stand the test of time, and the history it holds will continue to teach those to come about the pioneers who forged their way in this oldest county in Ontario. Your legacy is something to consider.

Please contact the museum for further details on any of these donation options.

    ARTIFACT DONATIONS

Our large collection of artifacts have almost all been donated to the Museum, and we encourage you to think of us as a safe repository for your Glengarry history.

With continued space restrictions, it is important for us to follow our collections policy and collect only those items which are pre-1915* and have a connection to Glengarry county. We are interested in any items relating to the many facets of Glengarry’s history; its families, churches, businesses, community groups, and schools. We also welcome visitors’ sharing of stories, information, and anecdotes about Glengarry. The stories are what bring life to the artifacts.

Please contact the GPM Curator/Administrator at [email protected] for further information, or if you wish to make a donation.

*Some exceptions may apply; contact the Curator/Administrator for more details.
